Aeosop Fable

In this project, I have to interpret a story from Aeosop's Fables in the form of flash animation.


The story:
AN OLD WOMAN found an empty jar which had lately been full of prime old wine, and which still retained the fragrant smell of its former contents. She greedily placed it several times to her nose, and drawing it backwards and forwards, said: "O most delicious! How nice must the Wine itself have been, when it leaves behind in the very vessel which contained it so sweet a perfume!"

Moral: The memory of a good deeds live.

I choose to tell the story in a more abstract way, combining typography, animation, and audio. The bottle represents memories that flourish into flower and the animation on the left side is showing examples of good memories that we might have in our lives.

Revised Keyframe

This is my revised keyframe. I changed the reflection on the water .

Production Keyframe

This is entirely made in corel painter using oil and custom nozzle spray. I use a lot of blending for the shading and adding blur at the end. The hardest part for me I think is the trees and plants and create reflection on the water; not sure if it looks right though. I also try to distinguish between foreground and background by controlling the details. Comments and suggestions are welcome !

CGT 351 Typography

This is my typography inspired by Aeosop's Fable called The Old Woman and the Wine Bottle. It is still in gray scale and hasn't move yet. I will add it later in flash.

T Shirt

This is a T-Shirt design for the Chinese Culture Club by me, Aaron, and Jamie. It really put my perspective eye-balling to the test ! The club want to design something that non-members would buy but still incorporate their logo in the design.
